My heart dropped when I realized I hadn’t read the Dallas Arboretum website properly, requiring all guests to make a reservation in advance due to COVID. Britain and Le were already on the way, and I had to call to tell them we’d have to shoot somewhere in White Rock Lake instead. I gave them the address to Winfrey Point and waited, kicking myself for being unprepared and feeling a bit disappointed with the winter scenery of the lake instead of the lush greenery the couple had envisioned.
Once Britain and Le showed up outside of my car, I knew it would work. If anyone could pull off a last-minute location, it was these two. Elegant, classy, charming. I was EXCITED! I drove them to the pier for the shoot, and by the time we got back to the parking lot, the sun hit the fields perfectly. They didn’t hesitate at all when I asked if they would walk through the tall grass for a few last sunset shots.
Here are my favorite photos from the shoot. They asked for direction because they never really take professional photos together, but I barely said a word and instead documented how natural they were with each other. I was just a bystander as they made each other laugh and gave me FOMO (what are they laughing about? click what’s so funny? clickclick wow they’re in deep conversation clickclickclick)
